With new US law, more funding to protect women who have children after rape


Each year, thousands of women who become pregnant by rape decide to keep and raise their babies. A new federal law gives incentives to states to better protect them from further trauma or harassment by rapists seeking parental rights.


Funding for child abuse services a 'disgrace'


Chief Executive of Children at Risk in Ireland Mary Flaherty has described funding for services for victims of child sexual abuse as a "disgrace".


Her comments come as CARI publish their report for 2013 and 2014, which found that there was a 29% drop in the number of therapy hours available for victims due to cutbacks.


Online parenting resource startup bags seed funding from i2India Ventures


ZenParent, an online parenting resource for new-age Indian parents, has raised US$500,000 from Bengaluru-based i2India Ventures. The startup plans to use the funds to expand its operations in multiple cities across India, as well as investing in new hiring, enhanced service offerings, and marketing.
